Note Block

Block

Craft a Note Block from 8 planks and 1 redstone dust. What it does, how to use it and full stats for Java & Bedrock Edition.

The Note Block is a musical block that plays sounds when activated by Redstone or interacted with manually. It is crafted using 8 Planks of any type and 1 Redstone Dust in a 3×3 crafting grid and does not generate naturally. A Note Block produces different instrument sounds depending on the block placed beneath it. For example, placing it on Dirt plays a Bass sound, while placing it on Glass plays a Click sound. The pitch of the sound can be adjusted by tapping or right-clicking the block, cycling through 25 different notes.

A Note Block can be powered by Redstone components, allowing it to be used in custom music compositions, doorbells, and Redstone contraptions. When activated by a Redstone Pulse, it plays the last selected note. A Note Block can be mined with any tool, but axes break it the fastest. Unlike a Jukebox, a Note Block does not require discs to play sounds, making it essential for custom music and Redstone-based sound effects.
