Raw Iron is an ore item obtained by mining iron ore or deepslate iron ore without a Silk Touch pickaxe. When mined, Raw Iron drops one piece per block, though using a pickaxe enchanted with Fortune increases the yield.
Raw Iron is primarily used to be smelted into iron ingots in a furnace or blast furnace, which are needed to craft tools, armor, weapons, rails, anvils, and more. It can also be crafted into Raw Iron blocks, which serve as compact storage.
Mined from plentiful iron ore, Raw Iron is needed from the early game to the late game for gear and infrastructure.
