The Totem of Undying is a rare item that prevents death when held in the player's main hand or off-hand. It is obtained exclusively from Evokers , powerful Illager mobs found in woodland mansions and raid waves . When a player takes fatal damage while holding the totem, it is consumed and grants Regeneration II , Absorption II , and Fire Resistance I for a few seconds, allowing them to survive what would have been a lethal hit.
The Totem of Undying only works if it is actively held when taking fatal damage, making it an essential item for high-risk situations such as fighting the Ender Dragon , Wither , or raid mobs . It does not protect players from the /kill command or void damage in the End.
