Forest is one of the most recognizable biomes in all of Minecraft, a densely wooded Overworld environment packed with oak and birch trees. The Forest is a frequent first sight for new and experienced players alike.
The Forest generates across temperate, warm, and cold climate zones at medium humidity levels. This climatic flexibility is a key reason the biome appears so frequently throughout a world's landscape.
Under the canopy, lilacs, peonies, rose bushes and lily of the valley grow among small clumps of bushes and scattered leaf litter. A number of oak and birch trees within the Forest naturally generate bee nests, offering players access to bees, honey bottles, and honeycomb without any extra setup.
Wildlife is plentiful here. The woods wolf variant spawns throughout the Forest during the day alongside passive mobs such as sheep, pigs, cows, and chickens. Once night falls, hostile mobs including zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, and endermen emerge from the shadows, making nighttime navigation through the thick tree cover genuinely hazardous.
